Old Pictures of Wayanad

Trying to  present old photos and pictures about Wayanad. The pictures are taken  from the historical book of CN Gopalan Nair, first publshed on 1911. That was the only kind of book that gives some glimps of  old Wayanad  rather than Malabar Manuel

  4. I have downloaded and read vook of Capt.Bevan.The picture shown of Thirunelli Temple is same as in that book.Recently I read the book of Sanderson who captured elephants in Mysore ,Dacca,Chittagong and Gharo hills. If the residence in jungles like Wayanad is is not on ground level but at a height and not exposing to the early morning mist Malaria or ague will not occur. He has seen jungle tribe living on huts built on poles about 6 feet above ground avoiding the miasma of smells of degenerated leaves of trees etc.

  5. How can a 1911 published book by Gopalan Nair contain photos of 1942?
